Color Therapy

Color therapy, or chromotherapy as it is also called, is a powerful tool for your moods and emotions. Many people use color therapy for healing and changing or controlling ones emotions.

There are jails and prisons that use color therapy to control violent inmates. They use the color pink on the walls of holding cells, and in some cases make the prisoners wear pink. It is said that pink has a calming and relaxing reaction to anyone that is looking at it. It is also said that pink causes your strength to reduce, which is why gyms are rarely painted in pink.

Blues are said to have a serene, calming, and relaxing reaction. It is also said to give one the feeling of trust, dependability, and commitment. Electric blues can express exhilaration, and aid in ones intuition. Blues can also aid in ones digestion.

Greens are known to soothe, relax physically and mentally, and help to alleviate nervousness, anxiety, and depression. Green also offers a sense of renewal, harmony, and self control. Some of my favorite things are green like, trees, grass, and money!

Yellow is a very stimulating color, mentally and physically. It stimulates the nervous system, activates memory, and helps with communication. Yellow is a happy color that lightens ones mood and emotional state.

Orange is color that can stimulate your appetite and your activity level. Orange is also a good color to help with social interaction. Orange is warm, inviting, and fun to be around. It has a good energy to it.

Red is a color of passion. It stimulates energy, encourages action and confidence, increases enthusiasm, and helps one feel less fearful and anxious. Red is a power color that helps one to feel more in control and secure.

Purple is a color that is often linked to spiritual work. It is calming, uplifting, and helps with being creative. Purple is often associated with royalty and mystics, and often with more creative and eccentric types of people.

The color brown is associated with wholesomeness, stability, and orderliness. It also has a connection to the earth and all things that are natural and organic. It is a warm color that feels reliable and approachable.

White is often associated with purity and cleanliness. It can help us with mental clarity, getting rid of clutter, purification of our thoughts and actions, and help us to move into new beginnings. White is neutral and pure.

Black is powerful and authoritative. It is a color that can be used to feel inconspicuous, possibilities, and having a sense of potential. Black is a color that can be sophisticated, but it can also be a color that people use to hide themselves with. Black can be seen as many things.

So when you are choosing the colors of your clothes, walls, and surroundings, remember that all colors have a certain mental and physical reaction to them. Choose the ones that make you feel happy and healthy. It is just one more way to have your world work for you!

Till Tomorrow,
Queenie
