Fashion Fix - Maxi Skirts

I am absolutely loving this new trend.

I'm not a huge fan of maxi dresses but I really like the maxi skirts. Unfortunately I couldn't find that many skirts on online shops but I found these two in Mango.

The great thing about maxi skirts is that you can completely shape the outfit by adding a tiny belt, a chunky belt, or simply tucking in a shirt or string top. But as you can see from these two Mango dresses, the emphasis is always on the waist, and that alone shapes your body.

This is €69.95 from Mango

I normally try and find all my fashion fixes for under €20 but these are the only two I could find. Honestly I would have no problem paying €69.95 for the pink Mango maxi.

And if you have some cash to spare this gorgeous leopard print maxi skirt is an amazing purchase. Although it's quite pricey the material is long lasting and this print always comes back in fashion.

You can get this for €125 from Mango.

The great thing about this skirt is that you can wear this casually during the day or you can style it to work for a night out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this new style xx

Savvy Shopaholic - Zara

It may not be looking like summer outside right now, but with the August and September annual heatwave on it's way it's time to do some serious dress shopping.

Whether you are looking to meet with friends on a summers day, or let your hair down on a mad night out, summer dresses fit every occasion because they are short and loose fitting.

This week I've chosen to go with Zara, I've always loved both the style and quality of their clothes, and their fittings are always right on the mark. Plus they have a great sale on right now.

Remember, as always, everything I pick out is under €20.

Firstly I went for a few day time looks. I'm in love with this Frilled Dress for just €9.99, **STAR BUY** as well as the fact that this is a complete steal, I love the style of the dress.

The frills at the top and a tiny belt in the middle, creates some great layers, hiding those lumps and bumps we all like to keep at bay. The strapless look and short length creates the perfect beach look, but you can pair this with accessories also.

White is always the perfect colour on a summer's day, it's about the only time we can get away with it, put on a natural light tan, add a small denim jacket or blazer, add some gold bangles and strappy sandals, and away you go!

Next up is another day-time strapless look. This is an amazing offer, as it's down from €79.95 to just €19.99. The fabric on this is gorgeous with a pleated skirt, loving this Grey dress.

Once again it's all about the accessories, this can be worn during the day time or night. Short denim jackets are perfect for creating the day-time look, add this hat , for just €5.99, to achieve the perfect casual summer style.

To create the night-time look, I would add some killer high-heels, gold or silver chunky jewellery and a dark black blazer paired with a large black clutch.

Continuing with the night-time styles, I fell in love with this Green Halter-neck short for only €12.99.

Green is really starting to make it's comeback this season, and emerald or mint is my top choice. Just this week Slum Dog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto wore a beautiful mint green long dress at the premiere of Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.

Freida Pinto has brought back the trend.
But let's focus on this emerald green dress from Zara. I love this halterneck style and everyone can wear green. Whether you are a dark brunette, fair-haired blonde or fiery red-head, there are tonnes of ways to make this colour work with your hair and skin tone.

My favourite colour to match with green has to be gold, I think the two colours are really vibrant together. I'm emphasising big chunky bangles today. It's the best way to go with these summer looks.

Next up red has always been one of my favourite colours, and if you are planning a nice dinner or a cocktail night out I would suggest this beauty.

For just €12.99 you can get this from Knitted red dress Zara. It may seem quite plain at first glance but there is so much you can do with this dress.

First of all the gorgeous V-neck allows for a long-drop necklace. Think of a piece with a long chain and a large symbol, like a ball or a heart.

Add a black blazer to this look, and you've got yourself a smart, elegant outfit for a sophisticated night out.

Finally, you need to have some killer (and cheap) heels to add to any of these outfits if you are planning on hitting the tiles.

You can get these Strappy Sandal heels for just €14.99 from Zara. The strappy look is perfect for the summer time, as everyone's wearing sandals at the moment, so it gives your look a more casual vibe.

Savvy Shopaholic - H&M

Happy Fashion Friday everyone!

Yes, it is that time again and this week I am showing you outfits, accessories and even shoes for under €20.00 from one of my favourite high street fashion stores, H&M.

As well as giving you top looks for under 20 quid I will of course be showing you my **STAR BUY** of the week. So, here's what I've got for you this week.

Day Time Look

The first item I found for my €20.00 budget was this gorgeous Blue Button Dress for just €19.95 this is a complete steal! I have to say, first off, that H&M's current sale is fantastic, I went shopper shopping this week, and most of their items were even cheaper than Pennys and the River Island Sale, so get down their ladies!

I loved this look because it is perfect for a girl with any shape and size because the waist band is flexible. The dress is also very flowy, so no skin tight material here. Meaning if it's a roasting hot day out and you are doing a lot of walking you won't be sweating to death!

Paired with a teeny-tiny brown bag like this and tonnes of jewellery, this is perfect for that festival chic look you'll need for Oxegen.

Lunch Time/Work Look

Next up block colours are so in right now, and I'm in love with this Block Brown and White Dress  once again coming in at just €19.95, this dress is completely multi-functional as you can doll yourself up for a night out or wear this to a lunch or even wear this dress to work.

The soft re-adjustable belt means that this look can be worn by women of all sizes. The belt can be stretched to give the look of a teeny-tiny west or you can loosen it up to feel a little bit more relaxed.

For a day time look pair this dress with minimal accessories, flat sandals or wedge sandals would be perfect for this dress and some long dangle earrings would be great for the low-cut white top. For work I would pair a blazer with this look, white preferably.

Day Time Comfort Look

Next up I spotted this gorgeous Oversized Sweater  under 20 quid again, yes just €19.95!! I love dresses but I have to say some days I just want to throw on a pair of leggings and wear a comfy but stylish sweater.

This sweater is perfect for a casual day of shopping, or just meeting a friend for a coffee. You can wear this big sweater with a pair of tight blue/white/black jeans or a pair of leggings. Match this look with a long necklace to create some movement on the sweater and add some bangles and sandals to create a boho chic look.

Another good thing about this look is you could actually use an massive chunky belt and wear this like a casual day time dress. Add a pair of tights and some wedge heels, and you've got a funky day time look!

Summer Sandals

Ok moving on to shoes, I really thought I'd struggle to find a pair for under 20 quid, but I actually found loads in H&M. These Strappy Wrap Around Sandals are by far my favourite. For a really low cost of €19.95 these sandals will last you the whole summer, and trust me, they will go with everything!

From a day-time dress to being paired with tight jeans or even leggings, you can wear these ivory sandals everywhere and anywhere (except Oxegen of course). These ones really remind me of Sienna Miller's kind of style, quite boho with a splash of sophistication.

The Slimming Belt

Next I vowed to find an accessory I could match with any one of these outfits for under 20 quid and yes, I did it again! For the teeny-tiny price of €9.95 you can buy this beautiful Leather Belt and this will go with anything!

This beige colour is perfect for a white dress or matched with a pair of jeans. It would also look great with every look I have shown you today. Chunky belts used to be in fashion, but it really is the slim, sleek belt that is in this season. The two belted look is also huge right now, with stars like Gwyneth Paltrow sporting the style just this week.

A belt can make a frumpy dress slimming and can create a waist on a long top or a pair of jeans.

**STAR BUY**

Finally I have to give you guys my star buy. Yes, this is the best bargain I found this week! For just €9.95 you can own this Figure Hugging Stripe Dress.

Stripes always go in and out of fashion but for Summer 2011 they are completely in! I'm loving the material of this dress, it falls really smoothly on your body, in all the right places! So you will really get a confident boost from this one.

The great thing about a black and white stripey look is that you can add bursts of colour to make the outfit complete. For example a short bright yellow cardigan would look stunning with this dress, matched with a small brown/white clutch bag and bright coloured heels/sandals it really is the perfect summer look!
...............................................................................................................................

Well that's all from me on this gorgeous Fashion Friday. Make sure to check in with me again next week for the cheapest buys on the Internet and on the high street in my Savvy Shopaholic segment!

Savvy Shopaholic - iClothing.ie

Hey guys and gals,

I'm back with my new weekly segment 'Savvy Shopaholic'. Today I will be bringing you my top three favourite looks from iclothing.ie.

I've been looking for the perfect dress, yes I know, so is every other woman out there, but I mean a dress that I can wear multiple times, for different occasions. Instead of getting a dress I can just wear to a wedding, or a frock that I can wear during a sunny day, I decided to search for the perfect dress that can do a bit of both!

I chose three dresses from iclothing.ie that I thought fit the mould, and of course I'll be giving you my **STAR BUY** of the week.

DAY TIME LOOK

First off, I found the perfect summer day dress. For just €30.00 you can pick up this beautiful Isla Pleated dress (shown above). Coming in two different colours, coral and warm mocha. I went for the bright coral colour and as I planned to create two looks with each dress I was really surprised with what I came up with.

For a casual look I added a flower hair band from Pennys, and a cotton cardigan with gold and white buttons from A-Wear. Mixing accessories with the dress created the perfect day time look, great for meeting pals for lunch or doing some shopping!

Next, I thought the dress would be perfect for a summer wedding. So instead of adding extra accessories I went for a very simple look, not even adding jewellery. The striking colour and pleated material can completely stand on it's own, and with some natural crimps and curls in my hair I fell in love with this minimalistic look.

NIGHT TIME LOOK

Next up is the night time look! I thought I might struggle a bit with this one. It's hard to find a going out dress that you can make casual. But I did it! First off I picked this beautiful Miley Two In One Contrast dress for just €28.00. Two in one dresses are so in right now, and I love the burst of colours on this one.

It's nice to wear a dress that's tight in all the right places, a little short, but at the same time, the puffy high-necked top gives the look some sophistication. By itself the dress is perfect for a girlie night out, drinking some cocktails, paired with a simple silver clutch. (But gold would also work with this outfit, some gold chunky earrings would look great.)

But if you want to make the outfit just that little more classy I suggest adding a fitted jacket, I chose a beige short jacket with shoulder pads from A-Wear, the length was perfect to show off the black skirt and the colour matched perfectly. I would also suggest adding some light tights if you really want that look of sophistication.

**NIGHT AND DAY LOOK**

Finally I found the perfect dress that I could use for both a daytime and night time look! The cheapest of all the dress, you can pick up this Coralia Chiffon Dress for just €26.00, so this is my **STAR BUY**.

The second I put on this dress it felt perfect. All three dresses I tried have no zips or buttons so they fit onto your body like a glove. I loved this light grey colour mixed with a floral design with a black outline throughout the dress.

Firstly I tried the night time look, adding some bling I chose a gorgeous pair of earrings from The Ivory Closet's jewellery range 'Bellerina'. This night time look is perfect for the summer months, and the dress has a very flowy material, so you can relax and feel comfortable.

Finally I mixed and matched to create a day-time look. I actually thought this look would be perfect for work. Adding some tights, and a light grey jacket from New Look, I also tied my hair back and wore a bangle, from the 'Bellerina' range again.

Even though the dress is perfect for hitting the tiles or attending a wedding/summer event, you can definitely accessorize it to work for a day time look.
