Simple Reminders of What Not to Eat!

I wanted to give you a reminder of the foods that you want to stay away from if you are looking to get healthy and lean. We need to be reminded from time to time so we can stay on track to our fitness goals.

There are some ingredients that you do not want in your foods. Read your food labels and if you find any of these in them, don't eat it!

High fructose corn syrup; cause weight gain, has negative effects on the liver, raises triglycerides.

Hydrogenated fats; raises bad cholesterol, lowers good cholesterol, clogs arteries, causes heart disease, weight gain, overall bad source of fat.

Bleached white flour; causes glucose levels to rise, risk of obesity, little to no nutritional value.

White sugar; increases overgrowth of yeast in the body, causes fatigue, triggers appetite, causes weight gain or obesity, causes hyperactivity, tooth decay, increases P.M.S. symptoms, increases anxiety and irritability, can cause depression, becomes addictive, no nutritional value.

Sodium; too much makes you bloat, makes your heart work harder, increases pressure in your arteries, causes high blood pressure, can cause cardiovascular and kidney disease.

Preservatives; MSG, Sodium Benzoate, BHA, BHT, any ingredient that you can not pronounce or find in your pantry do not eat!

Artificial flavors and colorings; this is pretty self explanatory, if it is artificial do not eat it.

Deep fried foods; weight gain and obesity, clogs arteries, raises cholesterol, can cause heart disease, reduces blood circulation, creates trans fats.

High amounts of animal fat; weight gain and obesity, clogs arteries, raises cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure, higher risk of cancer and diabetes and ovarian disorders.

Those are some of the food items you should stay away from if you are wanting to get healthy, fit, and trim. What does that leave you with to choose from?

Natures foods!

Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, legumes, fresh lean proteins such as; fish, chicken, turkey, and beef, and eggs.

Of course having a food off this list on an occasion in moderation is O.K. to do. Moderation is the key to success in anything, and it is no different in eating foods that might not be a healthy choice.

Eating ice cream once in a while is fine, but if you eat it everyday, you will not be making a healthy choice. Having cookies, candy, or sweets, is alright every now and then, but if it is a daily habit, you will not achieve your fitness and health goals.

So read your food labels. Stay away from things that sabotage your healthy plan. Eat natures foods, and remove any artificial chemicals from your diet!

You will feel better too!

Till Tomorrow,
Queenie
