Loving What Is; Finding the Way to Happiness

It is a good thing to practice loving what is. We tend to have a wish list going on all of the time of what we want or need to be happy. We put our happiness off until those things on our list happen. The problem with this is we are missing the happiness we could be having right now; and by the way that wish list will always be there, growing each day as we add to it.

As you grow older your list changes. The things that you thought would make you happy five years ago may no longer hold interest for you. You will have added other things to your list, while dropping others.

What is important to remember is that all we have is right now. If you keep putting off being happy until you get that certain boyfriend, or lose that weight, or get that new car, you may never feel happy.

Happiness comes from inside us. It is does not come from a material object, another person, or anything that is outside of us. True happiness comes from right inside you.

Abraham Lincoln said, "Most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Albert Schweitzer stated, "Success in not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."

Ella Wheeler Wilcox said, "The truest greatness lies in being kind, the truest wisdom in a happy mind."

George Sand reminded us, "There is only one happiness in life; to love and be loved."

A quote from Helen Keller, "Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see or touch, or what others do for us which makes us happy; It is that which we think, and feel, and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves."

"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness, looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search, was within." By Ramona L. Anderson

So you can see that great minded people knew the secret to happiness....it comes from within, never from external things. You can be happy when your outer world looks bad. It is in your power to choose to be happy.

Till Tomorrow,
Queenie
