Cheryl Cole Parties With Will.I.Am In Cannes
Ashley who?
Yes singer Cheryl Cole was all smiles last night as she partied the night away with her music manager and Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am.
The gorgeous Geordie sported a casual look, with messy curls, a dark tan, red lips and a bright white strapless dress. The singer looked happier than ever as she leaned into Will, who is said to be helping her launch her US music career.
Cheryl seems to have finally put her disasterous relationship with Ashley Cole behind her, as she has moved into a top LA pad and looks to be settling in just fine.
Let's hope she finally moves on and focuses on her career.

Timbaland And Demi Lovato Making Music Together
It's finally happening.
When Demi Lovato went into Rehab last year Timbaland pledged that he would work with the Disney star once she got better.
The singer was in Rehab for eating disorders as well as bi polar disorder but since getting out she looks better than ever. Tweeting last night Timbaland said the pair were making sweet music together. "Me and demi workin on a hit baby! #demiandtimbaland." he wrote.
The famous music producer hasn't stopped tweeting about their new tunes all week. He told fans:
"yo @ddlovato you killed dat song i gave u. i just pick 2 more for you from one of the producer out my camp @wizz_dumb for u to do 2morrow. 4 this demi and timbo duet yall really need 2 thank my brother @darealsebastian and @byrd757 4 makin this happen. now lets make history."And Demi isn't the only one in the studio right now, the gorgeous brunette, who was apparently dating Ryan Philippe for the last few months, is working alongside Missy Elliot too.
I can't wait to hear what Timbaland and Demi have come up with, but any tune Timbaland produces is always a hit!
It's great to see her back on the mend and looking happy again.
PS!!!

Lady Gaga - "I used to be mistaken for Amy Winehouse"
The Queen of pop Lady Gaga has spoken out about the death of Amy Winehouse, saying that she used to be mistaken for the soul singer when she started out in the industry.
Gaga revealed her sadness at the 27-year-old's death, saying that although she didn't know Amy personally she says she was mistaken for her tonnes of times earlier on in her career:
"I loved her so much. I was nobody when she was first coming out. I have really dark hair and all the time on the street people would go, 'Amy!' And they would go, 'Back to Black'. They'd scream at me."The 'Edge Of Glory' singer added that Amy's music made her feel good about herself:
"I loved her and I just remember feeling like I wasn't alone because she was so different and she was so special."

"It's really devastating and I think it's a lesson to the world: Don't kill the superstar. Take care of her. Take care of her soul."

Celebrity Tributes Pour In For Amy Winehouse
Celebrities all over the world have been remembering Amy Winehouse today, after her untimely death yesterday.
Mark Ronson, who worked on tracks with Amy such as 'Valerie' wrote on Twitter that the singer was like a "sister" to him:
"She was my musical soulmate and like a sister to me. This is one of the saddest days of my life."
Kelly Osbourne, a close friend of Amy's also posted a heartfelt tribute on her page:
"I cant even breath right now im crying so hard i just lost 1 of my best friends. i love you forever Amy & I will never forget the real you!"

Country singer LeAnn Rimes also paid tribute to the talented singer, saying:
"RIP Amy Winehouse. So sad to see such a talent gone and her life end in tragedy. This makes me terribly sad."Radio DJ Fearne Cotton said: "Can not believe the news. Amy was a special girl. The saddest news."
Her untimely death means she joins the notorious '27 Club' of musicians who have died at that age after struggling to cope with fame. They include Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain who killed himself in 1994 by shooting himself, Rolling Stone Brian Jones, who drowned in a swimming pool in 1969 and guitarist Jimi Hendrix, who choked to death in 1970 after mixing wine with sleeping pills.

CNN host Piers Morgan also spoke about the sad news: "Such desperately sad news re Amy Winehouse. Supreme talent, terrible self-destructive addictive personality."
Presenter Phillip Schofield added: "Just heard the sad news that Amy Winehouse has died. At only 27 what a terrible waste of a great talent. Sincere condolences to her family."
Emma Bunton said: "Such sad news about Amy Winehouse. My thoughts are with her family."
Lily Allen was honest in her tribute, writing that Amy was struggling in life: "Its just beyond sad, there's nothing else to say. She was such a lost soul, may she rest in peace."
Singer Jessie J tweeted: "The way tears are streaming down my face. Such a loss."
And the tributes didn't end there. More of her fellow musicians took to Twitter to voice their sadness at the loss. Professor Green told fans: "I really hope she's at peace now. I don't wanna hear any chat about it's her own fault, addiction is a powerful demon."
![]() |
| Professor Green told fans not to diss Amy. |
A tweet from pop band JLS read: "Times like this remind me why its so important to live life to the fullest!! Amy Winehouse you will be a LEGEND in all out hearts!"
Burlesque artist Dita Von Teese wrote: "Devastated. I spent extraordinary times with Amy. She sang for me once for hours, it was the most beautiful &touching thing. A huge loss."
Actress Demi Moore wrote on Twitter: "Truly sad news about Amy Winehouse. My heart goes out to her family. May her troubled soul find peace."
Chef Jamie Oliver wrote: "Such a terrible shame to loose Amy winehouse such a talent, such a waste, raw talent."
Presenter Davina McCall wrote: "Amy Winehouse found dead at her home. So very very sad. A huge talent."
Although this is a very sad time, and I do feel terrible for family, people do need to accept that this was her own fault and even though Professor Green said "addiction is a powerful demon" it is created by those who seek drugs or drink heavily.
Maybe this will stop a lot of other struggling addicts out there seek some help.

Breaking News: Amy Winehouse Found Dead!
This is so sad, and shocking.
Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her London home. The 27-year-old 'Rehab' singer was found this afternoon and police say her death is being treated as "unexplained".
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said:
"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."According to reports Amy's musician father Mitch has yet to hear the shocking news, as he is in the US performing at a jazz festival.
Winehouse had last been seen supporting her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield earlier this week as the teenager took to the stage at the iTunes festival.
At the gig Amy refused to join in for Mama Said, but did support the 14-year-old with a few dance moves before urging the crowd to buy Dionne's new album Good For The Soul.
A source said Amy was acting highly intoxicated at the gig: "Amy staggered onstage and grabbed the mic to beg the crowd to buy her protege’s new album."
Amy was in bad shape since she cancelled her European tour following a disastrous performance in June when she stumbled onto the stag.
A statement released at the time said she was taking time out to focus on her health and finally kick her addictions:
"Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."Amy first broke on the music scene back in 2006 with her multi-million selling album Back To Black, she has had a troubled life which has included various stints in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
Amy was currently working on her big comeback album.

Kim Kardashian Suing Old Navy For Look-Alike Who's Dating Reggie!
This looks very complicated!
Reality TV mogul Kim Kardashian has decided to sue fashion chain Old Navy as they are using a look-alike to promote their brand.
And to make it even more complicated, the girl in question, Melissa Molinaro, is actually dating Kim's ex-love Reggie Bush.
The 30-year-old reality star is now suing the clothing giant for somewhere in the region of $15 - $20 million. Melissa, who is known to viewers in the US for her time on Pussycat Dolls Presents: The Search For The Next Doll, P. Diddy's show Making The Band and she played a major dancing role in Honey 2.

| Mellisa is styled to look exactly like Kim in the ad. |
Mellisa's new ad, which resembles a music video has already become massive on Youtube, with over 1.7 million hits already. In the video Mellisa is clearly styled to look like Kim throughout.
Kim filed her federal lawsuit against Old Navy in LA today, stating that Old Navy are using the double in order to make people believe she is associated with the label. The issued statement reads:
"Old Navy launched a multimedia advertising campaign featuring television and online ads that misappropriate Kardashian's likeness in the form of a celebrity look-alike, and styled the infringing ads to evoke Kardashian's identity and persona. Kim Kardashian is immediately recognisable, and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them."On top of the ad, Old Navy keep on tweeting about the ad, linking Kim to their campaign once again. For example this tweet: "@CBSNEWS reports that Old Navy's Super CUTE star looks like @kimkardashian. #LOL. What do you think?"
Despite all the controversy, Reggie's new bea says she's happy to look like Kim: "To me it's extremely flattering. She is a beautiful woman...That's an amazing compliment."

| Mellisa is said to be dating Kim's ex Reggie. |
The 29-year-old brunette is probably loving all this press as she is an aspiring singer and actress. Mellisa recently released her debut single 'Dance Floor', where she is seen prancing around and posing in an array of leotards and skimpy bathing suits.
Kim dated Reggie for around 3 years before their shocking split in 2009. She is now engaged to pro basketball player Kris Humphries.

Avril Lavigne Parties On Yacht Without Brody Jenner
It looks like a case of girls just want to have fun here!
Singer Avril Lavigne decided to take a girlie break away as she was spotted partying in France on an expensive yacht with a group of girls.
The 'What The Hell' singer let her hair down and showed off her toned physique as she strolled around drinking and smoking in a teeny-tiny bikini.
It's the first time in months that Avril has been spotted with her reality star boyfriend Brody Jenner. But I wouldn't start any break up rumours just yet. Only the other day Brody took to Twitter to say how much he digs the singer:
"My woman is the SHIT!!!! Hahahaha love her"

Meanwhile Avril has told fans that she's planning to release a 5th album asap. After just releasing 'Goodbye Lullaby', an album focused on her spit from ex-hubby Deryk Whibley, the Canadian says she wants a happier record out this year.
She wrote on her website:
"I already have eight songs, I would like to release the fifth album really quick. This record was more mellow, and the next one will be pop and more fun again. I already have a song that I know is going to be a single."

Nicola Roberts Says Her New Music Is "Authentic"
My new favourite Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts has hit back at claims that her new music isn't natural for the red head.
Nicola's first single 'Beat Of My Drum' has got an amazing response by both critcs and fans. A few tracks from her brand new album Cinderella Eyes have already been leaked, and the we're loving the style here at Miss Red.
Rubbishing claims that her new sound isn't really her, Nicola said:
"It's natural, being a fan and loving a band like Major Lazer, that you'd go to somebody like that. It's so out-there and full of imagination. And even with Girls Aloud, we didn't make records with rules. I'm used to working with Xenomania, who take risks, and that's what I feel with Joe, with Diplo. That's where I've come from, so that's where I want to go."
She added that if she was faking both fans and critics would be able to tell a mile away:
"People can sniff out a faker. It would have been really awkward for me to not make a record like this. I'm not comfortable with faking - there's evidence of that in the first six years of the band."I for one think this is 100% Nicola's vibe, and I'm loving it!

Cher Lloyd's New Single 'Swagger Jagger' Has Leaked!
Former X Factor star Cher Lloyd has said she is extremely "upset" after her debut single 'Swagger Jagger' was leaked online this morning.
The track, which has since been taken down, featured the full length new single, not set to release for another few weeks. Cher took to her Twitter today to explain how upset she is:
"I've never been this upset ever! I worked so hard, and people wanna ruin it for me, if you wanted to hurt me you've done a great job."
The 18-year-old singer went on moaning asking everyone to stop sharing the link: "please dont do this to me. I wish I was at home with my family, i've been through enough this year."
Finally she ended her rant speaking out to her real fans: "me and my brats are stronger than this!! come onnnn! lets get em !!!!"
To be honest, she needs to get over herself, so what ONE track leaked off her album. Welcome to the 21st century love...

Hugh Heffner's Fiance Crystal Harris Released Debut Single!
Am I the only that thinks she's just taking him for a ride? (not literally)
Yes, apparently among her talents as a
No music video just yet, but I can only imagine how desperately sexy and raunchy that is going to be. For now, have a listen to her debut track:
Keith Duffy Says Boyzone Will Not Split!
Despite reports this morning that manager Louis Walsh has ditched Boyzone and has told them to split up for good, band member Keith Duffy says they will not be quitting anytime soon.
The Coronation Street star told press this morning that there are no hard feelings between Louis and the boys:
"There are no issues between us as far as I'm concerned. Louis does his own thing, he's really busy with X Factor at the moment and we're all busy doing our own things."
Keith added that the boy band are doing great during their tour and won't stop performing:
"Boyzone are still flying. I'm not going to make any bitchy comments about anybody. We're doing a long tour of outdoor shows in the UK over the summer."
Despite the fact that Boyzone had disappointing sale figures for their 'Brothers Tour', Keith added that they have the full support of their record company, even if Louis doesn't support them:
"The record company are really enthusiastic about us at the moment, they're planning a new CD."
Has Louis Walsh Quit Boyzone For Good?
It looks like Louis Walsh is finally done and dusted with Boyzone, as he focuses all of his time on his up and coming girlband Wonderland and the UK X Factor.
The top Irish music manager has apparently left the boys high and dry after their tour is about to end and Ronan Keating is not takig it too well. A source has said that the 58-year-old manager has left them for good:
"Louis has told Boyzone they're finished. Ronan doesn't want to accept it but without Louis they have no chance."According to reports Louis decided it was time to leave half way through the 'Brother Tour' (in memroty of Stephen Gately) because ticket sales were disappointing. The band have been the centre of controversy the last three years, with Stephen dying under strange circumstances and Ronan's affair with a dancer being revealed. And most recently Mikey Graham was allegedly involved in an attack outside his home.
![]() |
| Washed up band? |
Louis formed the boy band way back in 1993 to compete against Take That, and the band did exceptionally well. With many No.1 singles in both Ireland and the UK.
The boys have several tour dates to complete in August in Denmark, England and Scotland while Ronan is giving a film career a go and is acting as a judge on Australia’s X Factor.
An insider revealed that Ronan has other work commitments and doesn't soley rely on Boyzone:
"He has other priorities at the moment but will always remain a proud member of Boyzone, and believes they will work together again in the future. Despite what Louis might say, in the end he had very little to do with Boyzone - and the last tour was actually a success."

The Man Behind The Music: My Interview With David Gray
"Welcome to the unconventional convention centre" David Gray cheekily smiled on the small stage that marked the first intimate gig to take place in the modern venue that recently held a monumental event for the Queen.
David's opening line would set the tone for the night, starting the show with a string of classic hits from his much earlier albums, it's clear that his 'Lost and Found' tour is all about reminding his hard core fans what he's really all about.
I was extremely lucky to be invited along to see David up close and personal in Dublin last night. As a long time fan, I was slightly starstruck when I saw a dashing looking fellow standing right in front of me, head to toe in a specially cut suit with a sleek waist coat to top it all off... introducing David Gray ladies and gentlemen...
Before meeting the singer I was told that he is "notoriously quiet" and more than likely I wouldn't get that much out of him. But I realized that wasn't true once my "10 minutes" with the star turned into 20 minutes of getting to know the man behind the music.
The first question I have to ask is how he feels about Ireland. The singer has come here a couple of dozen times throughout his long-lasting career and I wanted to know what draws him back every time. "I love Ireland" the slightly held-back singer told me:
"Next time I'm here I want to go and travel around, and not be doing a gig, I would like to go up to Donegal. Years ago we drove from Derry to Galway and I really wanted to just get out of the car."
Soon I see the passion that burns inside the songwriter, even talking about the Irish scenery David gets so immersed in his thoughts, through his eyes I can see Galway bay, the Cliffs of Moher and the long country roads he took during his last few visits here.
He admits that his relationship with Ireland has been a strange one though, after launching into an unfounded fame with his smash hit album 'White Ladder' everything changed for the singer. He credits Ireland with the success believe it or not:
"Something beyond everyone's wildest imaginings happened here, particularly my own, with White Ladder, Ireland took it to an utterly ubiquitous state. Everyone still talks about it saying 'Christ that was your biggest record in history'."
But he added that with every high, he knew a low would be coming soon:
"The last few times I've been here everyone has been so affectionate, that had faded away the last few years. I don't know if Ireland changed or I had. After such a high there is definitely a cooling off period."I have to say that the set up of this gig was my ultimate dream if I could get on the stage again. Instead of a spotlight on David with the band in the background, the stage layout mimicked a living room. With three antique lamps surrounding the musicians David was immersed within his band, switching from a baby grand piano to a stool with his guitar whenever he felt a change of mood.
Each melody was represented by the background, with soft reds, ocean blues and orange yellows, every song was hypnotic, I know I wasn't the only one who got lost in his music last night. He told me before walking on stage that he wanted to bring back some of his older songs, to "remind people". The second he started playing his older track 'Forgetting'...I felt goosebumps.
It's no secret that David prefers these intimate venues to outdoor festivals. In other venues the pressure is on to play the popular tracks such as 'Babylon' to get the crowd going, but here, it was like watching the singer playing songs in his living room, the whole concert was extremely personal. Three tracks in, you couldn't even hear a pin drop in the Convention Centre.
At times the fans did turn roudy though, shouting out suggestions for songs, at one point someone's phone started ringing (the usual nokia embarrassing tone) and David let an angry sigh into the mic.But David didn't give in to the demands in the intimate venue, when a male audience member shouted out "Play Sail Away With Me David" the singer sarcastically retorted "Later Darling".
So back to the interview, once the 5 minute mark passed David was really opening up to me, becoming much more energetic and smiling excitedly about the gig. But I have to say he sacrifices a lot to share his intimate lyrics with the world. He tells me that he's already done 50 gigs so far this year! I asked him, where does the inspiration come from:
"Well I'm a bit mad amn't I? But I'm addicted to it... I'm addicted to doing the music, I'm like a preacher; taking the music out to the people and telling them what I have to say. I'm addicted to this whole process."
"I love the sense of connection and validation that it gives me to see the music getting through to people and to feel the warmth and applause of the audience coming back; it's central to my life and I can't do without it."
"I'm part road now" he added. And I can certainly believe that. Let's not forget David is also a father and a husband. His creativity is, like he said, central to his life, and unfortunately that means his family have to take the back seat some times. I asked him if it was hard to leave them behind, especially with two daughters ages 6 and 9:
"It puts a strain on my personal life. The people I've left behind are waiting for me all the time. I need to grab a few of the golden years with my children before they turn into teenagers and hate me."
But it's not all doom and gloom in his private life. David tells me that he has started bringing his daughters out on tour, they have actually seen most of America at this stage, a place the singer sees as a second home at this point.
He heads to the US again at the end of the month to do a couple of more dates stateside, he admits that singers have to work hard in the states to earn the top records, but with his love of the craft, there will be no problem there.
Despite putting pressure on his private life, it's clear that David belongs on the stage. Re-iterating that music is his "addiction" before walking on stage, it's clear that the singer is completely immersed in his own music making.
And don't worry David is going back into the studio as soon as he wraps up this tour, with a smile on his face he says: "I've been writing stuff already, I can't stop. Come the Autumn I will be starting back in the studio again."
Our interview is coming to an end and I'm so engaged with our conversation I completely ignore his manager when she comes in the room to tell me the time is up. Like with his music, I'm totally entranced with what he has to say. As a singer songwriter myself I feel the ache he has in his heart when he watches someone else on stage, and wants to be up there himself. That's why I know he will be singing and creating music until the day he dies.
Despite filling his gig with slow, sensual, dark songs, David got the crowd standing and clapping when he blared out his top three hits 'Babylon', 'Sail Away With Me' and my personal favourite: 'The One I Love.'
Overall the gig and meeting David was spellbinding. People may say he doesn't talk much but that's because his mind is going a million miles an hour thinking about more important, beautiful things than you and I.
Just as we finish up David admits that this whole tour was just an experiment, to see if bringing back his old hits would stabilize his connection with his hard core fans, some who slipped away once he became a big time artist, but he admitted he's so happy with the result:
"This 'Lost an Found' tour was just an experiment really. But It couldn't have been better, it's gone better than I had hoped."
With a hand shake and a "hope you enjoy the show" from Mr Gray our interview is over and I head to the gig. Walking to my car at the end of the night I only have one sad thought... why didn't I get into a picture with him, because at the end of the day I have always been a huge fan and I can assure you now I will never stop listening to his tracks after meeting the man behind the music.
PS!!
If you missed the concert... fear not!! David live-streamed the whole show right around the world. Thanks to O2 you can watch it now! Just log on to O2Blueroom.ie or David's website Davidgray.com to watch the show in full, from start to finish.
